Terrestrial field studies of soundscape ecology, Pacific chorus frogs.
2008: BA Linguistics and French Literature, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
My interests lie in determining the effects of anthropogenic noise on communication space and behavior of terrestrial organisms. Specifically, I look at the impacts of road noise on the call structure of Pacific chorus frogs. I have worked on marine mammal bioacoustics in the past, but would like to see soundscape ecology and conservation take a larger role in terrestrial management.
