Research

I am working under PhD student Michelle Fournet as a research intern assisting with the field data collection and data processing of her dissertation research. Additionally, under Michelle’s mentorship I am pursuing on a senior thesis project investigating diel variation in humpback whales non-song vocal behavior in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. This includes quantifying non-song calling rates at dawn, dusk, mid-day and determining if non-song calling rates varies as a function of time of day.
